Sat 11th - Hilly 65

Headed up to deepest, darkest (and coldest!) Tredegar with G and Rhodders - home of G-man's family for a hilly ride.

Turned into a lovely sunny day, stopped for a bacon sandwich at Abergavenny bus station and then, 'heartbreak hill' from Govillon to Blaenavon - I was zig zagging towards the top in 39-25. A long, uncomfortably steep and f*cking cold climb with the bonus of reaching the equally cold Blaenavon at the top!

G and Rhodders died on the climb, bless them. It wasn't too far back to Tredegar then.
4hr 15 ~= 65 hilly miles.

Off to my coach's for dinner in a mo, just time to take the blueberry & banana muffins out of the oven...
